Thinkbroadband reports that BT Wholesale has added some extra details to next years broadband ADSL2+ roll-out plans. The operator is now aiming to have ADSL2+ (up to 24Mbps) services available to 5% of the UK customer base by April 2008, which will rise to 50% a year later.
BT's ADSL2+ rollout is not strictly linked to its 21st Century Network project either, which means that many locations will have access to ADSL2+ prior to their local exchange being updated for 21CN.
The operator has reportedly just begun initial trials in the West Midlands, which will be expanded through two further phases as this year progresses into 2008.
