Im pleased to announce that ISPreview will soon be getting yet another new lick of paint and only just over one year after we introduced the current v2 design. Dont get us wrong, v2 was a major improvement over v1 but when we came to scale the layout up to a higher resolution and cleanup the front page it simply didnt work.
Meanwhile I had been working on a separate project over the past few months and decided to convert the new pure CSS based design over to ISPreview, with considerable success. The v3 design is completely new and much clearer to read, it will also incorporate our reader reviewed Top 10 directly into the front page.
Presently the designs template is effectively complete and Ive just this week polished up the final front page layout. However all of the subsections must be updated for the design before it can officially be launched and that will take a fair bit of time.
We cant be sure how long it will take to complete the work, although a pre-Christmas launch may not be impossible, though Id think it unlikely. Instead it may be better to expect the new site for January 2008 and having taken on board feedback from v2s launch, were sure you wont be displeased.
We also have other changes and improvements planned for 2008 but will talk more about those next year.
