Demon Extends 2Mbps ADSL Options

Posted: 22nd Jun, 2005 By: MarkJ
UK ISP Demon Internet (THUS) has launched two new 2Mbps broadband ADSL Internet access products for home and home office users, Demon Home 2000 (£19.99) and Demon HomeOffice 2000 (£24.99):

The new product launches compliment the existing Demon Broadband portfolio which ranges from straightforward Broadband services to Demon Premier Business Broadband SDSL that allows users to upload up to eight times faster than traditional ADSL. For existing Demon broadband customers there was good news as it announced that it will upgrade these customers, FREE of charge, to the faster 2Mbps service*.

With Demon Home 2000, users can enjoy the benefit of an always on Internet connection and information arriving up to 40 times faster than traditional dial-up, ideal for music and video applications while still being able to make and receive voice calls. Free Demon spam filtering and unlimited email addresses for everyone in the household complete the attractive package for the most demanding residential users.

Demon HomeOffice 2000 has all the aforementioned elements plus a range of business features including electronic fax and companion dial-up allowing users to connect to email while on the move and includes 20MB homepage hosting; great for small businesses to create their own web presence. With HomeOffice 2000 the customer is ideally placed to take advantage of new services, such as VoIP as they emerge.

In addition the Demon broadband products come with a FREE static IP address at no extra charge which is crucial for remote workers to access company servers over a VPN, to run web cams or other servers.

Competitively priced at a fixed monthly fee of £19.99 for Demon Home 2000 and £24.99 per month for Demon HomeOffice 2000, there will be no surprise bills or reaching a restricted usage limit; valuable for home workers, whose families also spend time using the Internet.

For existing Demon customers there was also good news as they can also enjoy the benefits of a faster service when they are upgraded FREE of charge to a 2Mbps service; provided their broadband connection can support increased bandwidth. For customers who are unable to receive a 2Mbps service the connection will be provided at the highest level possible.

More information on the Demon HomeOffice range is available from http://www.demon.net

* For vast majority of customers, where line will not support 2Mbps fastest possible speed will be provided.
