Zen Internet has finally hopped onto BT Wholesales trial of "mega-fast" 8Mbps broadband ADSL:
In an attempt to iron out any potential teething problems before the service is officially launched by the end-of-the-year, the forward-thinking ISP will be rolling out the service this month, allowing those trialling it to experience extremely fast Internet access, enabling users to download music, video and gaming files faster than ever before.
The trial is expected to last approximately 10 weeks and the first phase of the trial will take place using selected exchanges in the Strathclyde region of Scotland and in Greater London. Trialists have already been selected from the eligible exchanges/lines and those customers have recently been contacted directly by Zen. If this first phase proves to be a success, then a second, larger trial is expected in the summer. BT Wholesale states that the trials have come in response to the increasing use of broadband-based technologies in the home and at work and the constant demand for bigger and better content and applications.
Zen Internet offers a range of broadband Internet packages for both home and business users. These packages range from Zen Home 250, which is the ideal package for home users looking to experience low-cost, unrestricted Internet access for the first time, to Zen ADSL Office 2000, which is a top of the range business solution that removes dial-up speed restrictions and can download documents up to 40 times faster than a standard dial-up modem.
