ADSL4Less reports that the number of broadband migration orders has increased 500% since it was accepted onto BT's DataStream to IPStream trial. The ISP also spoke of its support for a mandatory MAC Code system!:
ADSL4LESS.com are now able to accept migrations from companies like Virgin and V21 which was not previously possible, but ADSL4Less.com are still campaigning OFCOM to draw up legislation to make it mandatory for Broadband providers to be part of the MAC code migration system.
ADSL4Less.com customer service manager reported that: We get over 50 customers a day from Tiscali who want to migrate to ADSL4Less.com but Tiscali will not participate in the migration system and therefore we cannot help these customers which is very frustrating for us and for them
ADSL4LESS.com is one of the fastest growing broadband suppliers in the UK and is driving hard to reduce ownership of broadband connectivity.
http://www.adsl4less.comADSL4Less is one of only a handful of providers that have spoken openly of their support for a mandatory version of Ofcom's migration policy.
Presently there are far too many ISPs that either refuse, overcharge or deliberately delay the release of MAC Codes so that unhappy customers can change provider without lengthy downtime.
We recently attempted to contact Ofcom on this very subject, but two weeks later and they have so far failed to respond.
