PlusNet have confirmed their participation in BT Wholesales high speed (up to 8Mbps) broadband MaxDSL trial, which is due to begin this week:
The trial is expected to last for around 2 3 months on 21 exchanges and will enable participants to reach speeds of up to 8Mb, depending on line quality.
Marketing Director, Marco Potesta said PlusNet were one of the very first ISPs to deliver Broadband in the UK, and are just as keen to enable faster speeds. We are pushing the industry along to make advanced technology available so we can deliver the fastest speeds and best service possible to our consumers.
PlusNet have evaluated every one of their customers on the selected exchanges, and all customers who met the strict criteria for participation have been contacted.
Once the initial trial has successfully finished, BT Wholesale plan to expand further trails to a greater number of exchanges during the summer.
The final roll out later on in the year will mean the majority of PlusNets broadband customers will be able to access faster speeds for no extra cost.
If you havent bought broadband yet, or you want to upgrade or migrate, visit PlusNet at http://www.plus.netTypically we'd love to hear from anybody that has been selected for this trial and would be interested in providing us with a weekly diary report of their experiences (anonymously or otherwise).
