Fluidata Branches Into VoIP

Posted: 22nd Apr, 2005 By: MarkJ
Fluidata has become the latest ISP to branch its services into the realm of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) communications with the introduction of its new VoxHub product:

Fluidata has responded to increasing demand with VoxHub, designed specifically to cater for the SME market, delivering a feature-rich, flexible and reliable service which can rapidly be deployed. The service fits perfectly between home user products and high-end Cisco/Alcatel solutions already in the marketplace, and can easily be setup requiring little technical expertise. VoxHub comes complete with all the features of existing PBX phone systems such as voicemail, call queuing, call waiting, hunt groups and extensions, so you can be sure of no loss of function.

VoxHub can be used over any existing internet connection and with state of the art data compression calls take up less bandwidth than before. Each active line uses only 35 Kb/s of bandwidth, so a FluidOne SDSL service from Fluidata could support up to 50 simultaneous voice calls for a fraction of the cost of alternative ISDN lines. Combined with a QoS enabled router or firewall, any business can now make the jump to VoIP without worrying about bandwidth availability. And because Fluidata specialises in low contention internet services, we can provide a fully integrated VoIP and internet connectivity system tailored to suit your business.

Other features are available such as geographic numbers for the UK regions and major international cities, allowing you to better manage your business image. This also means that it is possible to setup a regional ‘office’, or create and route numbers for support and sales departments at the click of a button in the VoxHub web interface.

Pricing for the service is highly competitive from only £1.90 per user per month. National numbers are available free and geographic numbers such as 0207, 0208, 0118 etc. only cost £1 per month. Call charges are similarly low, with calls within the UK costing £0.008 per minute and international rates abroad such as Germany, France and the USA all under only £0.018 per minute.
