Digiweb Satellite ISP CUT-OFF

Posted: 21st Apr, 2005 By: MarkJ
Satellite ISP Digiweb has had its supply contract with Luxembourg based Satlynx terminated. Initial reports suggest that this was due to an unspecified breach of contract and has left many users without a service.

Digiweb is known to supply broadband satellite services to both UK and Irish consumers. It is also involved in a government project to Internet enable Schools, although this is believed to be unaffected.

Some 450 business customers out of a 10,000 strong subscriber base have been hit. It is still unclear when service will be restored and those suffering problems have now been without a connection for 3/4 days.
