NTL, which is currently merging
Telewest into its UK cable operations, has today posted its third quarter 2005 results. The operator has added 165,600 extra broadband connections over the period (1,720,600 total).
Unsurprisingly the dialup decline (common throughout the industry) continued, with metered dialup users dropping from 436,500 in Q2 to 355,300 in Q3-2005. Interestingly unmetered dialup remained stable for the same period, shifting from 173,300 to 172,200.
Total broadband subscribers were at 1,555,000 during Q3-2005 and now stand at 1,720,600. The overall total of Internet access customers is thus 2,329,300, putting NTL just ahead of AOL UK.
