UK ISP Namesco has today announced the arrival of its parental control and Internet security product SurfGuard., which will cost £4.99 per month and can be trialled free for 14 days:
SurfGuard provides a secure surfing environment for up to 3 household PCs for only £4.99 per month including VAT. This excellent software is aimed at parents who wish to protect their children from the potential dangers lurking on the Internet and provides a very simple point-and-click interface allowing easy configuration even for those with little or no technical knowledge.
SurfGuard provides in-built protection from the core threats, with options to block adult content, gambling, shopping, gaming and hate sites all of which are updated from a huge central database. Where SurfGuard really comes into its own is the facility to monitor MSN chat conversations and create a Buddy list, allowing parents to specify a list of authorised chat friends for their children.
