UK ISP Mailbox Internet, which is now owned by Leeds-based provider 186k, is to close its London office in Fulham within just two weeks time:
Of the 16 people who worked at Mailbox, six employees declined an offer to stay with the company and relocate to Leeds, and will receive redundancy pay instead. Two workers have agreed to make the trip to Yorkshire.
A further eight contractors have had their contracted terminated.Mailbox is quite a small provider with just 10,000 customers, thus bringing the two work forces closer together has some merit. Hopefully existing users will not find their service disrupted. More @
