Boeing has discontinued its satellite based 'Connexion' service, which had been providing in-flight broadband to air travellers. The news confirms earlier rumours, which stated that Connexion had been placed up for sale and was suffering as a result of limited interest.
Unfortunately no buyer has been found and the air operator has consequently been forced to scrap the whole thing. Rivals will no doubt be concerned at the move since Boeing is not the only group to be have deployed in-flight broadband services.
