The Telegraph reports that mobile operator O2 has delayed the launch of its new broadband product until September 2007 at the earliest, considerably later than planned.
The service, which would have been based off the technology operated by its recent acquisition of ISP 'Be' (24Mbps ADSL2+), had originally been due to launch at the start of this year.
O2's chief executive, Peter Erskine, feels that the service simply isn't ready. Likewise it will only cover 50% of the population at launch, thus any nationwide advertising plans may have to be scrapped or adjusted.
