Several existing and former customers of troubled UK ISP Biscit (
V21) have informed ISPreview that their refund cheques from the provider are bouncing. Two related topics can be found on our forum
HERE and
HERE. One user states:
Has anyone had a cheque from Biscit recently? Because they sent me a cheque as they overcharged me 2 months in a row (Nov/ Dec). It took forever to get the cheque and now it's bounced. It was for less than £30, so I guess they must be really broke then.
If anyone else has had a cheque from them then I would make sure it has gone through.
Issues with incorrect billing aren't anything new for Biscit, which has suffered from a raft of problems for several months now, although we've recently been seeing fewer formal complaints.
Presently it's unclear whether this latest issue for the provider, which has been nominated for several of this years
ISPA Awards, is the result of a small mistake or something much more serious.
In one instance the refund had been issued as a result of legal action against Biscit. Courts don't tend to like settlements where the cheque bounces. Elsewhere weve shot a quick message off to Hugh Paterson in the hope of gaining some explanation for those affected.
