Reports suggest that EasyNet has been suffering from intermittent e-mail problems for over 9 days and has yet to issue a proper fix. The ISP has since issued this apology and explanation:
We are very sorry that some customers have experienced intermittent delays with incoming mail to the Easynet mail system. We monitor our network very closely and the moment we identify a delay to a customers email service, we investigate thoroughly, and immediately work to resolve it.
We have a series of works planned to alleviate any short term issues, and also have longer term work in planning to refresh the infrastructure that we use for the mail service. We plan to migrate our customers to this new infrastructure during Q2 of 2007.
Having read
The Register's piece we took a quick look at the providers '
Service Status' page and apparently "
there currently no issues", so hopefully it's resolved.
