The BPI reports that UK music fans have downloaded over 10m LEGAL music tracks this year. Between April and June alone the figure stood at a staggering 5,562,638 vs 659,377 during the same period in 2004:
By contrast, sales of CD Singles fell 23% from 5,721,873 in the second quarter of 2004 to 4,408,453 in the same period this year.Typically we suspect that broadband has had a lot to do with making this viable in the first place. More @
