Bulldog could face a formal investigation by Ofcom; the news follows a raft of complaint submissions. The regulator is expected to make a decision before the end of August:
The telecoms regulator has already appointed a case leader to examine complaints about the local loop unbundling (LLU) ISP owned by telecoms giant Cable & Wireless (C&W).
Those complaints include billing issues while others report being left stranded without phone and internet services. The Register also reports on rumours that
Bulldog may suspend its autumn advertising push in order to ease pressure on itself. Insiders suggest that the ISP has a backlog of 20K orders to a customer base of 65K.
Further inside information suggests that, despite the addition of two new call centres, some 10,000 calls each day still fail to get through!
