NewNet has cut the cost of its business Leased Line service, known as DataStream Metro 2Mbps, to £399.50 +vat per month. The package is promoted as being vastly superior to SDSL:
NewNets DataStream Metro 2Mbps leased line service offers one of the most powerful dedicated Internet connections in the industry. With dedicated access there is no sharing an Internet connection with others (guaranteed 1:1 contention) and users can expect full performance upload and download speeds to reach 2Mbps, up to fifty times faster than a 2Mbps consumer DSL connection and vastly superior to SDSL service levels.
DataStream Metro offers business users high performance reliable service at an extraordinarily cost effective and affordable price. Initially the service is being rolled out in the London (0207) network zone and is available to order immediately.

We wouldnt call it vastly superior to SDSL, but its certainly competitive with the other 1:1 contended SDSL solutions being offered.
