Nildram's broadband platform appears to have been suffering a few connectivity problems over the past two days, with many users complaining of random inactivity periods on their Internet connection.
Customers will remain connected, yet may find that Internet services fail to respond for brief periods at random intervals.
It's presently unclear whether the problem has been fully resolved, although an update posted yesterday evening is hopeful:
Update to issues today:
1. Loss of routing on ERX's. We believe we have found the cause of this issue whereby your connection stays up but you occaisionally lose routing. Please let support know if you still have an issue.
2. If you're still having problems, we've bought some of the old Ciscos back up, you'll get a 60% chance of hitting one if you re-connect. So if you desperately need to, you can try to connect to one of those.
We will be not be making any further changes tonight, as we need to take a step back from today in order to evaluate all of todays issues.
Will report back tomorrow. This issue follows another short service outage that occurred over the weekend.
