Bulldogs Video-on-Demand Broadband

Posted: 15th Aug, 2005 By: MarkJ
Reports suggest that Bulldog is planning some sort of broadband based video-on-demand (VoD) service, which could be managed by the ISP's new head of entertainment, Elaine Safier.

Bulldog itself is presently refusing to either confirm or deny the rumours, although they are "reviewing their options". Current service problems could slow the inception of such an idea.

Meanwhile other operators, such as BT, are already making moves towards VoD based services and entertainment. Several other ISP’s, such as AOL and Tiscali, already offer various other media streams.

We can’t help but wonder if this practice will spread, with Internet providers becoming next-generation style broadcasters.
