The governments Office of National Statistics (ONS) have once again released its monthly Internet access update. Broadband connections jumped from 50.7% in May to 52.4% in June 2005.
The index of all connections showed that between June 2004 and June 2005 there was a 5.2% increase in the total number of active subscriptions to the Internet.
Interestingly the index decreased by -0.2% between May and June 2005, which is the first time such a thing has happened since June 2004, when -0.3% was lost for the same period.
Unsurprisingly Dialup services have continued to lose ground against broadband, now holding just 47.6% of all connections. That's a decrease of 3.6%, while broadband increased an extra 3.1% between May and June 2005.
