IBM has shown roughly 64 of its
Virgin Media related Swansea call centre staff the door. The cull appears to include a number of management positions and its claimed that staff had been told not to speak of the action in public.
It's not completely clear why the cuts have been made although the decision was taken by IBM. IBM itself also claims that the figure could be somewhat less than the 64 stated above but has so far refused to clarify.
Virgin Media is currently in a state of flux after being forced to delay their plans for a private equity based sale due to unstable market conditions.
