Several reports over the weekend have claimed that
Orange are about to introduce their own Internet TV (IPTV) service for broadband customers. The '
France Telecom' owned operator currently already offers a basic broadband package and various mobile phone services.
The group hopes to convince British consumers that it is more than a mobile operator and aims to have its new IPTV service on the market before the end of this year. It's expected that the service will follow Tiscali's lead by offering bundled broadband and or mobile services into the deal.
Orange are currently facing fierce competition from cheaper rivals and has already vowed to go on an advertising drive to boost subscriber numbers.
