ISPA UK Launches 2008 Awards
By: MarkJ - 02 July, 2007 (1:19 PM)

The Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has begun the search for next years top UK ISP's and Internet industry performers with its 2008 awards launch:

This year’s awards will feature two new categories which were introduced in response to entrant feedback and to give a more accurate reflection of the industry. Best Dedicated Hosting and Best Shared Hosting are replacing Best Business Host and Best Consumer Host.

Entry to The 2008 ISPAs is free and open to all ISPs, including those who are not members of ISPA.

To enter the awards, companies should select the category or categories they wish to enter, and register for testing with Epitiro via http://www.ispaawards.org.uk. Online registration is now open and is set to close on the 31st August.

Though never shy of controversy, last years awards saw more criticism than usual after the inclusion of a much troubled ISP, 'Biscit Internet', in several prominent categories. Continued problems eventually caused the ISP to shut down.

Winners are to be announced at a gala dinner and award ceremony in February 2008.
