Mobile operator and ISP Vodafone UK has signed a two-year Next Generation Network (NGN) deal worth £40m with Cable & Wireless (C&W).
The agreement will see C&W provide a range of professional and IP network services that work toward aligning both of the companies next generation network strategies:
David Shaw, Chief Commercial Officer, Cable & Wireless Europe, Asia and US, said: Our strategy is to focus on the largest users of telecoms and to deliver them what they want, when they want it and with an unparalleled customer experience. As such, were thrilled to be given the opportunity to partner with Vodafone UK - its doing great things at the moment and were looking forward to showing them what we can do.
Marcus Webb, Head of Carrier Services, Vodafone UK, said: Were looking to grow our market share in the UK and wanted a partner that understood our goals and could deliver against them. As well as having the right skills in place, Cable & Wireless showed a huge desire and commitment to get to grips with our business and our people to develop the services that suit our needs.
