UPDATE: Further reports indicate that the service is expected to surface sometime during November this year and come with a Netgear DG834GT v4 router.Satellite TV giants BSkyB are reportedly preparing to introduce a broadband only product (possibly called '
Picnic Broadband'), which wouldn't require subscription to the groups TV service; current packages are offered as part of a mandatory bundle.
Sky has refused to confirm the rumours but dont deny them either, suggesting that something may indeed be happening. It's believed the package will come equipped with some form of voice service and that a new
Wi-Fi Netgear router might be thrown in for good measure.
In addition a company known as Markmonitor.com has been buying up the following domains:

Reports on the
SkyUsers forum suggest that Markmonitor.com is the same group responsible for buying / registering SkyCast. Typically all of the above should be considered rumour until Sky says otherwise. More @
