North East Hits 100% ADSL Coverage

Posted: 02nd Mar, 2005 By: MarkJ
ADSLGuide reports that the North East of Britain has followed Northern Ireland by reaching 100% broadband ADSL coverage on its telephone exchanges:

One NorthEast selected BT as the means to deliver broadband throughout the North East by March 2005, in a £10 million project. The good news is that the work on the final batch of exchanges finished on 28th February 2005. The One North East programme will now shift up a gear to increase the demand for broadband in the region, and to assist businesses in the area with exploiting the advantages of broadband connections.
