South Yorkshire based ISP
The Wired Workplace has today announced the launch of its business broadband SDSL services. 512Kbps options appear to start at £110 +vat:
Previously, customers needed to be tenants of a building already on The Wired Workplace Network, but investment in new infrastructure means that from today, any business in South Yorkshire requiring SDSL access or a leased line, will be able to take advantage of Wired Workplaces high quality broadband services, which are priced significantly below the market rate.*
Wired Workplaces decision to offer its services to a wider market will be welcomed by many businesses that are currently paying a much higher price for broadband than counterparts in France and Germany.
The Wired Workplaces Alan Rooms commented: Theres been a lot of hysteria in the press about Rip off Britain over the last eighteen months, but the fact remains UK companies are paying much more for broadband access than the rest of mainland Europe
The problem is two fold. The UK suffers from a lack of competition and there are much larger state subsidies available to companies and ISPs in France, Germany or Italy.
Over seven years weve built a unique infrastructure that allows us to offer the fastest and most reliable connectivity in the market at a much better rate than offered by the big providers.
And we are sure that, for businesses in Sheffield, this will be great news. For some reason their website link didn't work at the time of writing.
