UK Online Launches 2Mbps ADSL

UK Online has moved to further bolster its already impressive array of broadband services by introducing a 2Mbps package for £29.99 per month (free modem & connection). There's also a free upgrade offer for 1Mbps users:
Existing UK Online 1Mbps customers will receive a free upgrade to the new 2Mbps service (subject to availability), not only giving them twice the speed, but also saving them £60 per year.
Chris Stening, General Manager, UK Online, commented, "Broadband 2000 answers the demand for extra speed from customers who share their broadband with other members of the family, or are frequent downloaders, and often find that 512K or 1Mbps broadband is not enough. For the real speed junkies, for just £10 more per month, consumers can go online even faster, with our groundbreaking 8Mbps service."
