Our first poll, just prior to the new year starting, asks: "Which is more important for ADSL in 2005?". The results from last months survey can be found as follows:
Who is most responsible for online security education?
ISP's - 56.1% The Government - 33.6% Computer Makers - 10.2%
Total Votes = 508
It's easy to argue that everybody plays a role in said responsibility, yet ultimately much of the onus will be on ISP's to help educate their customers (56% of voters agreed).
However, nearly 34% felt that the government should play a part. Indeed, public advertising and education programs could serve to decrease the gap of knowledge and make less aware surfers more secure.
