UK ISP Pipex has offered new customers up to two months free broadband ADSL access, but only provided you already own a modem or router, otherwise it's one month:
All residential customers who change their Internet account to PIPEX using their current BT access product will receive a months free service, rising to two months free for those who have their own modem or router. Unlike most broadband providers there is no 12-month contract period that customers have to sign up to.
Business users, transferring on the same BT access product, can also sign up to PIPEXs award-winning service and obtain free rental for one month. The minimum contract period on the Home Office is one month while Business ADSL has a minimum contract of three months.
The offer is available on a range of PIPEXs Broadband products, from Solo 250, with speeds five times faster than dial up, to Solo or Business 2000, offering speeds 40 times faster than dial up.
Dominic Crolla, Managing Director, PIPEX Internet says, "As the UKs first Commercial Internet Service Provider and multi award winners of accolades such as the ISPA Best Consumer ISP and Practical Internet Readers Award for Best Business ISP, we are confident that once Internet users have seen what we can offer they will not look back.
"We continue to invest in our people and our network, and with over 13 years of Internet access experience, we are leading the market with a quality service and outstanding customer support team. PIPEX offers a high level of service to all its customers with no hidden lock-ins or expensive support call rates resulting in true value for money which is about service as well as cost."
Comprehensive security packages are also available for low additional fees via PIPEXs partner company ZoneLabs. Customers can purchase firewall and anti-virus protection for just £5 per year, or upgrade to a complete peace of mind product for just £29.95 per year.
