Ofcom has finally begun its consultation on migrations, switching and mis-selling (
details) until 28/04/06. The regulator will look at many areas, not least migration between broadband providers.
It's already known (
HERE) that the regulator is considering imposing a compulsory migration code upon ISP's, something everybody would welcome. However that doesn't make it a certainty, although we would be shocked to see the current (optional) scheme continue.
Far too many customers find themselves trapped by their ISP, often the only way out being a longwinded cancellation procedure, which can leave you without Internet access for several weeks.
