EC Boasts EU Broadband Growth

The European Commission (EC) has reported adding 20m new broadband lines during 2005, making for a total of 53m by years end. EU broadband penetration (lines per 100 people) stood at 11.5% in October 2005 (7.3% in 2004), with roughly 52,000 new lines being added per day (38,000 in 2004). We wonder what 2006 will bring.
