BT Enables 8Mbps Exchanges Early

Posted: 20th Feb, 2006 By: MarkJ
Samknows is reporting on news that BT Wholesale has enabled 22 additional exchanges with ADSL Max (8Mbps trial) technology, earlier than initially expected. The list can be found below:

Abinger,
Airth,
Appin,
Ascot (Enabled 20/02/2006),
Avonbridge,
Balmore,
Bell,
Braco,
Cardross,
Chorleywood,
Dalmellington,
Darvel,
Drybridge,
Dunblane,
Fenwick,
Galston,
Garelochhead,
Gargunnock,
Harefield,
Kilcreggan,
Killearn,
Kilsyth

We’re fast approaching the date when 8Mbps will be finalised and deployed, although already there is concern that BT may be taking too long to adapt its products to the ever faster nature of LLU and cable rivals.
