PlusNet To Boost ISP Security

PlusNet has teamed up with StreamShield Networks and Imtech technology to market test a number of new network-based security services for customers, potentially including adware and spyware blocking:
StreamShield is the first vendor to develop a carrier class solution that is deployed in the ISPs network for cleaning network traffic from a variety of threats. With StreamShields technology PlusNet will be able to offer a broad range of protection services to its subscribers, such as adware and spyware blocking, web virus blocking and parental controls.
Imtech Telecom, a leading technical services provider, won the contract to provide PlusNet with StreamShields Clean Pipes platform. This is the first win for Imtech since the StreamShield Clean Internet platform was added to the Imtech technology portfolio last month.
