November 2006 SPAM E-Mail Holds @ 90%

Online security firm SoftScan has reported that SPAM (junk e-mail) accounted for nearly 90% (89.73%) of all e-mail during the previous month.
The following chart illustrates the problem better and includes a similar prediction for this month:
The only good news is that online viruses have continued to be less and less of a problem, thanks largely to effective anti-virus filtering by ISP's and consumers alike. It's a pity anti-SPAM filters aren't as effective:
