Roughly 35,000 people in central Birmingham were left without telephone and broadband Internet access over the weekend. The fault occurred after thieves raiding a Handsworth Sorting Office also cut wires in the near by exchange.
Today the majority of BT's services have been restored, although the operator is warning that minor connectivity issues may still occur until its completely fixed.
