ISP Biscit is aiming to take on TalkTalk's own broadband and voice bundle by launching a new package, freeMAX Unlimited, which is designed to compete on the same ground:
The headline bullets of freeMAX Unlimited are astonishing
. 2400 minutes per month to UK landlines, unlimited international calls to 2 nominated numbers per month, up to 8Mbps broadband, unlimited monthly download allowance, free calls to other Biscit landlines, and no minimum contract term. Importantly for Carphone Warehouse's impatient customers, the new package is available now, nationwide, for just £29.99 per month plus a one-off set up charge of £29.99.
"
Clearly, Carphone Warehouse has a severe public and business crisis on its hands and, from an industry standpoint, we must help it out of its hole," says Biscit's CEO, Hugh Paterson. "
We believe that Biscit's new freeMAX Unlimited bundle solves the problem."
Standard to Unlimited
Biscit launched freeMAX Standard at about the same time as Carphone Warehouse's Talk Talk offering. Consumers then flocked to Biscit's circa £20 per month voice and superfast broadband bundle and it has since become the CSP's flagship product. Biscit found however that whilst the freeMAX standard 2GB download limit was sufficient for most customers, others wanted more free minutes, more bandwidth and free international calls
now.
"
Biscit is a customer-centric, no vapour talk company with a culture of offering and then delivering services that customers want," adds Paterson. "
All migrating consumers need do to obtain freeMAX Unlimited is to sign-up online at http://www.biscit.net, or call our sales hotline on 0870 383 0030 armed with a MAC code and a BT account number. They'll be live in a matter of days."
