Little known ISP and Telco '
Direct Save Telecom' has launched an "unlimited" up to 8Mbps broadband ADSL and "
free calls to UK landlines all day every day" package for just £16.95 per month!:
With Direct Save Telecom monthly line rental is only £9.95p/m (BT charge £11.00) and customers are then offered 4 different options all on one simple bill:
Option 1 is a no fee plan that has UK calls capped at 4 pence (BT charge 5.5p) during off-peak times.*
Option 2 is £2.95 p/m (BT charge £3.95) for free calls to uk landlines during off-peak times.*
Option 3 is £7.95 p/m (BT charge £9.95) for free calls to uk landlines all day every day.*
Option 4 is £16.95 p/m for unlimited up to 8Mb broadband with free calls to uk landlines all day every day.*
All options are simple 28-day rolling agreements giving customers peace of mind knowing that if they do not like the service they are receiving they are in control and can cancel with ease. Effectively this is a price and service guarantee, unique in this day and age where most telecom companies are locking customers in to punitive 12 or 18-month contracts.
Nothing Changes Just A Cheaper Bill*Subject to terms and conditions available at
http://www.directsavetelecom.co.ukWe note from the site that there is also a one-off setup fee of £40, although you do get a free modem and static IP address. Data usage is apparently "unlimited" during off-peak times, while peak usage comes with a 20GB cap. The providers customer service department is also based in the UK.
Typically we know very little about this provider and urge caution, although the deal is certainly attractive.
