The improvements include a line rental and calls inclusive plan for £11 per month, similar to BT Option 2, which costs £14.95 per month. In fact BT charges £11 per month purely for line rental.

PlusNet Home Phone Evenings and Weekends includes:

* All Evening and weekend calls to 01 and 02 landline numbers
* All other calls at competitive rates

The new plan can be bought by existing PlusNet customers or by new customers when they buy any PlusNet broadband package. Broadband starts at £9.99 per month.

Customers who’ve already switched their home phone to PlusNet and like the sound of the new plan, can swap for free from the existing £11 per month Anytime package.
