Business ISP,
Star, has warned that six out of ten UK businesses still havent done anything to protect their critical IT systems against major disasters, such as last years floods. However, 75% say they have created a plan to help reduce the impact of such events.
Less than four in ten businesses surveyed had taken ANY steps to safeguard business critical IT systems in order to keep e-commerce sites up and running, protect mail servers, facilitate remote working, or ensure staff had access to critical applications in the event of another major incident.
Its therefore probably no surprise that many are not prepared to deal with smaller, but often equally damaging events, such as power outages, malicious attacks on corporate networks or hardware failure.
