Popular UK ISP
Zen Internet has announced that as of 1st June 2008 the monthly download allowance for their '
Zen 8000 Active' and '
Zen 8000 Lite' broadband services will automatically increase for new and existing customers.
Zen 8000 Active will increase from 20GB to 25GB and Zen 8000 Lite will increase from 2GB to 5GB. The price for these services will remain the same. Both of these Broadband packages have a one month minimum contract, unlimited uploads and access to Zens UK based Customer Service & Technical Support teams:
"All of our customers can check the status of their monthly allowance at any time by logging on to Zens customer portal", said Adam Turner, Head of Product Management and Marketing, Zen Internet. "If, however, customers have any questions regarding this improvement to Zens Broadband services please do not hesitate to contact us on 0845 058 9000."
The news follows a similar announcement from
Plusnet at the start of this month (
news) and we wouldn't be surprised to see a few further providers follow suit. Part of the reason may be due to BT's new Wholesale Broadband Connect (WBC) product, which could allow some providers to offer greater usage allowances as well as 'up to' 24Mbps ADSL2+ broadband services (
news).
