Vodafone has emerged as the new front runner to buy
Tiscali's UK and Italian divisions after the group put in an offer totalling £1.1bn. Vodafone recently acquired Tele2 in Italy and has long had designs on growing a UK broadband business, which it has so far failed to achieve.
However, reports from around the Internet indicate that the bidding process is dynamic, with some hinting that the Carphone Warehouse may not yet be completely out of the running for
Tiscali. More soon..
