T-Mobile's Mobile Broadband Service Knocked Offline

Customers of T-Mobile's Web'n'Walk 'Mobile Broadband' (HSPA) packages in the north of England were hit by a 12 hour outage during Monday night. Reports on The Register indicate that the problems began after a switch at Barnsley failed, causing a serious power failure.
For its part, T-Mobile claims that "disruption to customers was minimised because of the timing of the power failure" and offered no apology. However, some customers claim that the problems lasted far longer than T-Mobile's stated 12 hours, with several pointing to the outage having started on Sunday.
