Glitch Prevents BT Accessing Customer Details

BT has reportedly been unable to deal with new phone line installation requests for roughly nine long days after an unspecified computer glitch left them unable to access customer details.

The Register now reports that normal service should have successfully been restored over the weekend. We also hear that the problems may have impacted orders for new wholesale broadband ADSL connections too.
