Thinkbroadband reports that
BT's Total Broadband service will, from 1st April 2009, revamp its
Fair Usage Policy (FUP) to give Option 2 (£20.54 per month) customers an additional 5GB of monthly data allowance (new total 20GB).
Unfortunately the operator will also counter this by imposing a stiff price increase upon those requiring extra data.
BT will raise its over-use charge from 0.58p per extra GigaByte (GB) to £1. This is considerably higher, though it's also more in tune with the industry average.
