SkyUser reports that
Sky Broadband has officially removed the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) from its '
Max' product, enabling them to claim it as a "
truly unlimited" service. The top end unbundled (
LLU) package, which costs an extra £10 per month when applied to Sky's existing satellite TV service, offers broadband speeds of up to 16Mbps. It's worth noting that the previous FUP was already extremely flexible.
Sadly Sky have balanced this move by confirming the introduction of Traffic Management to their '
Sky Connect' package, which is already capped to 40GB per month. The Connect product is a
BT-based option that costs an extra £17 per month when taken with Sky's existing satellite TV service. It is not stated precisely how Sky intend to apply the management.
