Mozilla's Firefox website browser development team have made a new privacy feature available to testers on their 'Minefield' branch. When enabled the '
Private Browsing' mode will erase any history, username/passwords, cookies and search cache you have with a website once the window has been closed.
The new feature is expected to surface as part of Firefox 3.1, which is currently in beta testing. Microsoft's next IE8 browser will include an almost identical feature, while Opera, Safari and Google already have something similar.
