Ask4 has been chosen by Leicester's De Montfort University to provide its student halls of residence with a new broadband network. The company's package includes a 2Mbps service with an upgrade capacity of 10Mbps, high speed packages up to 50Mbps, instant broadband and no download limits:
Martin Wrigley, Housing Manager at De Montfort University, said: ask4s internet packages represent excellent value for money and we believe that their services provide the best match with the requirements of both the institution and its students.
This is the first time that the university has outsourced its internet services, and we felt that it was a good way to increase the level and quality of internet packages offered to our students.
Ask4 currently provides over 3,000 outlets to privately owned student accommodation in Leicester and will now supply a total of 454 beds at Bede Hall and New Wharf Hall with super-fast Internet and Internet TV (IPTV) services. In the past 12 months alone the company has increased its student client base from 20,000 to 34,000.
The news follows Ask4's installation of one of the country's first 'up to' 50Mbps fibre broadband products for students living at The Pinnacles Sheffield in September.
