Mobile Today reports that
O2 is in discussions to bundle Apple (MacBook) laptops with its
Mobile Broadband and land-line broadband services. The operator already has a strong iPhone relationship with Apple and is looking to capitalise on that.
Details have yet to surface, although it's believed that the laptops would be subsidised and not offered as a "FREE" extra to the service itself. Providers clearly need to develop increasingly attractive hooks to bring in more broadband customers, which often require the use of lengthy contract terms.
Mobile Today is also reporting that
Orange has poached
The Carphone Warehouse's customer services chief, Jackie OLeary. She will be put to the same use at
Orange.
